Blitz the Plants

As we are going to need some top soil for the new brick planter running along the edge of the path I need to find some top soil to fill it when it is built.
Over the last 14 years we have put many bags of peat into the existing front border so I want to re-use this high quality soil for the planter.
The plants that were there all had  to go - two were temporarilly relocated to the back garden the rest sadly have gone to "high heavens " the local amenity town recycling centre

Stink to high heaven

Meaning: To have a very strong odor.
Example: There's a road kill on 101 that stinks to high heaven.
Origin: Heaven as referenced in the bible is presumably quite a long distance
away, and anything here that could be smelled in heaven would be a powerful
 odor indeed.
Shakespeare may have originated the phrase (or at least made it famous) in
"Hamlet" when Hamlet's uncle, the king of Denmark says: "O, my offense
is rank, it smells to heaven; It hath the primal eldest curse upon it,
A brother's murder."
Heavens also refers to the planets and stars. Also a fair distance away.
It's interesting that Shakespeare's reference was not an actually an odor
, but a deed that was observable from heaven.

So this morning all the plants that were left in the border got removed and I started bagging up the soil
8 blue bags plu 1 Black one I have more bags that will keep me busy next weekend
here is how the front gardem looks now - I suspect it looks a bit worse for wear.

And here arethe bags.. Fascinating this blog!

Thats all for tonight more updates next week!

And where were they ? Obvious really
You will see the Electricity runs nice and straight
thee water roughly where I thought but the gas pipe went round a corner and disappeared into my neighbours drive. i gave up following it
